These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Trajectory at trajectory.app ("the Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Trajectory provides free online financial calculators, a personal finance simulator, and educational blog content. The Service is designed for informational and educational purposes only.

2. Not Financial Advice

Trajectory is not a financial advisor, tax professional, or licensed investment advisor. All calculators, projections, and content are provided for informational purposes only and should not be considered financial, tax, or investment advice. Results are estimates based on the inputs you provide and simplified assumptions. Always consult a qualified financial professional before making financial decisions.

3. Accounts

You may use many features of the Service without creating an account. To access Pro features, you must sign in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it.

4. Free and Pro Plans

Free Plan

The Free plan provides access to all calculators, the financial simulator with one local scenario, and all blog content. The Free plan is supported by advertisements served by Google AdSense.

Pro Plan

The Pro plan is available as either a one-time lifetime purchase ($9.99) or a monthly subscription ($1.99/month). Pro features include unlimited cloud-saved scenarios, scenario comparison, additional charts and visualizations, chart export, custom themes, custom backgrounds, and an ad-free experience.

5. Payments & Refunds

Lifetime Purchase

The lifetime Pro plan is a one-time payment of $9.99. Once purchased, Pro access is granted permanently to your account and is non-transferable.

Monthly Subscription

The monthly Pro plan costs $1.99/month and renews automatically. You may cancel at any time through your Stripe billing portal. Upon cancellation, Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds

Due to the digital nature of the Service, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 30 days of purchase and we will work with you to resolve the issue.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Attempt to access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Service or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond normal browser usage
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, content, calculators, and blog articles, is owned by Trajectory and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without permission.

8. User Data

You retain ownership of any financial scenario data you input into the Service. We store this data to provide the Service to you and do not sell it to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations will be perfectly accurate. Tax rates, financial formulas, and other data may not reflect the most current information.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trajectory shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to financial losses based on calculator outputs or simulator projections.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service.
